Vacuum Relays, SPDT types Jennings RE6B vacuum relay
**NOTE: Furnished with optional "high current" terminals, as shown! These are the largest ones available to our knowledge, and are furnished at no additional charge. These heavy duty terminals increase (slightly) the relay's maximum current handling capability. These terminals use 1/16" hex screws. (Most types of high current terminals on vacuum relays use Bristol spline screws.) **Max-Gain Systems, Inc. is a FULL LINE distributor of genuine Bristol spline products, should you need them for other relays. **** Removed from equipment, checked, and guaranteed. Price: $159 each. (Order Now!) NOTE: We also sometimes have the TORR Labs equivalent type (shown in the photo at top) at the same price. Jennings RJ1A-26S (standard version) SPDT ceramic vacuum relay and RJ1A-26N969 (silicone encapsulated version) SPDT ceramic vacuum relay.
NOTE: Our customers who buy these relays frequently are also seeking high speed reed relays or switching relays. We have the ideal answer in our RFK-6396 relays, here: http://www.mgs4u.com/RF-Microwave/RFrelays_misc.htm Complete specifications for the RJ1A-26N969 from the Jennings website: Complete specifications for the "standard" version of the RJ1A ... the RJ1A-26S... from the Jennings website: Mounting nuts are not included, but are an option (below), since there are better mounting methods available. Both types have identical threaded bases. Click here for discussion of mounting methods for these two types of relays. Click here for photos illustrating grommet mounting options. Photos show close-up views of the 26N969 relays, and a comparative shot of the 26N969 with the 26S version, which may be either the familiar blue paint trim or the imprinted label version (identical).
We also show the mounting nut, as well as the aluminum hold-down bracket and a piece of the silicone sheet material which may be used for mounting these relays. The aluminum hold-down bracket will not work with the 26N969 because of increased diameter of the top of the relay due to the silicone layer. Note: These relays are sometimes seen for sale on used medical equipment boards, and can have a high test failure rate. Our stock is tested and hipotted, and fully satisfaction guaranteed! (Why risk your equipment on an "unknown"?) Price for RJ1A-26S : $34.50 Price for RJ1A-26N969: $39.50 Price of mounting nuts, if needed: $1 each. Aluminum hold-down brackets or silicone sheet will be furnished free with purchase on request.
Jennings RB1J-26N300 SPDT glass vacuum relay, for space limited applications.
Since they were made especially for this sealed relay assembly (also by Jennings ) the type is not stamped on each relay. The RB1J is the threaded base (mounts with chassis nuts... supplied) version of the RB1H, which has a flange mount. Both are electrically the same as the RB1D, except both the RB1J and RB1H are made with a shorter coil portion to allow use in more space-limited applications. All three types have the same electrical ratings: SPDT contacts rated 12 kv peak @ 60 hz, 5 kv peak @ 30 mhz. 15 amps RMS continuous @ 60 hz, 4a continuous @ 30 Mhz. 18 ms close speed or less, 8/9 ms release. Coil resistance 265 ohms, 26VDC. Rated 1 million operations life. Supplied with optional high-current compression terminal connectors, with short straps soldered, as in relay assembly. Price: $79 each (Order Now!) Jennings type RF1E-26N1137
We have good quantity of Jennings type RF1E-26N1137, ceramic SPDT vacuum relays for sale. These relays are NOT a latching type. Contacts are rated at 4 kV test, 2 kV operating, 8 amps maximum continuous. Capacitance between open-contacts is 1.6 pf. Contact resistance is 50 milliohms. Close time is 10 ms. and release time is also 10 ms. This is an extremely long-life relay, with a rated life of 10,000,000 operations! Price: $22.50 each (Order Now!)
Kilovac KC-2/S26 ceramic vacuum relay, SPDT (single pole, double throw) Flange mount version. Close equivalent to the Jennings RJ2C. Coil is 26 VDC, with 250 ohms resistance. Contacts rated at 50 amps maximum, 15 kv operating, and 17 kv peak. Close speed is 15 ms., Release speed is 9 ms., and life is rated at 1,000,000 operations. Length overall is 1.93 inches Weight is 3 ounces. Relay body is 1 inch diameter With 1.62 inch diameter flange with 3 holes / slots for mounting. Removed from equipment, checked, and guaranteed. Price: $149. (Order Now!) Kilovac HC-2/S3 vacuum relay. SPDT Ceramic, with epoxy / plastic encapsulation. This relay is physically similar to the HC-1 or the Jennings RJ1A, but is not rated for RF frequencies. This relay has copper contacts for high current capacity of 25 amps at DC to 60 Hz., and the encapsulation allows a higher rated operating voltage of 8 Kv, with a peak test voltage of 10 Kv.! This relay meets MIL-R-83725 requirements. It is very fast, with a close speed of 6 ms, and release speed of 6 ms. Coil voltage is 26.5 VDC, and coil resistance is 335 ohms.Pull-in at 16 VDC, drop out 1-10 VDC. Long life rating of 2 million operations. Excellent for high voltage power supply applications. Weight is 1.4 ounces. Length approximately 2 inches overall. With 9/16 inch diameter threaded base for mounting. Nut not included, but is available at $1 additional. Removed from equipment, excellent, guaranteed. Price: $29.00 (Order Now!)
For a copy of the manufacturer's data sheet of this product (as a .pdf file), click here: http://www.sekitech.co.jp/product/compo/jennings/ Condition is removed from equipment, fully checked and guaranteed. Large quantity available. Price $22.50 each (Order Now!) Replacement Coils and Contact Sets When a vacuum relay fails, it is of course very rare for both the removable coil and the contact set to both fail at the same time. Lightning damage is normally the only cause of simultaneous failure. The coil is easily removable by means of a screw or nut on the very bottom of the relay. This leaves the contact set (with contacts still sealed in a vacuum). The failed component can be easily replaced at well less than the cost of an entire new unit. COILS:
CONTACT SETS: Jennings RJ1A Price: $22.50 each
We have obtained a small supply of these VERY hard to find replacement vacuum relays as used in the famous ART-13 military autotune transmitter from WW2. Part number is GL-1S21. Some look unused, others appear to have been removed from equipment. All are guaranteed. SPDT. Actuated by external mechanism from the transmitter. Note: To remove or reattach the contact terminals, tiny Bristol spline wrenches may be required. They are cheaply available as the SS-508 L-key kit, here: http://www.mgs4u.com/Bristol-spline-L-keys.htm Price each: $49.00 (Order Now!)
