Announcing Max-Gain Systems, Inc.'s line of heavy duty (1/8 inch thick wall on all tubes ... not the thin walled "glorified fishing poles" sold by some) ... fiberglass push-up masts! We currently offer three versions, our 43 foot (maximum extended length) model MK-8, which consists of 8 foot length fiberglass tubes, our 32 foot (maximum extended length) model MK-6, which consists of 6 foot length fiberglass tubes, and our 21.5 foot (maximum extended length) model MK-4, which consists of 4 foot length fiberglass tubes. These packages each contain 6 sections of fiberglass tube, ranging from 2 inches O.D. down to 3/4 inch O.D., plus all five sizes of our Quik-Clamps, at a package discount price. We also offer our 8 foot lengths of fiberglass tube "by-the-piece", and sell our Quik-Clamps individually, so you can create your own custom mast, perfect for your particular use! To see the reviews of this mast system as listed on the eHam.net website, CLICK HERE http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/7041 43 ft. Version Fiberglass :
Depending on the height and load bearing capability you are trying to achieve, you can order this system "by the piece." (Fiberglass is sold "by the piece" in 8ft. lengths only) Order Now! For example: If you needed 22ft. with high load bearing capability you could order the 2" tube, 1 3/4" tube, 1 1/2" tube and the 2 corresponding "Quik-Clamps", the stock numbers MC-2 and MC-1.75, to achieve the desired height.
If you needed a 22ft., light, highly portable system to hold up light things, you could use the 1 1/4" tube, 1" tube, 3/4" tube, and the 2 corresponding "Quik-Clamps" , the models MC-1.25 and the MC-1. This selection would allow some flexibility at the top while being light and easily movable. The 43 ft. Mast assembly is shipped as 8 foot fiberglass tubes, sleeved, with the clamps not installed on the tubes.
We would like to see your photos of any of our masts installed and in use! We will be building a "photos" page, and would like to include many of your favorites to illustrate the many possible uses for the MK-4, MK-6, and MK-8. If you have digital photos to send, (.jpg format preferred) please attach to an email, sent to: mastshots@mgs4u.com Please put the words: mast photos in the subject line. 32 ft. Version Fiberglass :
Our 32ft Mast assembly is shipped as 6 foot fiberglass tubes, sleeved, with the clamps not installed on the tubes. Order Now! 21.5 ft. Version Fiberglass :
Compact carrying techniques When fully assembled, but nested, the Quik-Clamps add approximately 1 foot, 3 inches to the length of the fiberglass tubes used. The 8 foot tubes become a 9 foot, 3 inch long assembly, and the 4 foot tubes become a 5 foot, 3 inch long assembly. To shorten the package for easier transport, simply slide the sections apart from one another and bundle them side-by-side, for a new maximum assembly length of only 1.75 inches longer than the fiberglass! The larger, shorter bundles become much easier to put on most cars and small trucks. These lengths are of course for the full-size versions, consisting of all 6 fiberglass tubes, which would be "worst case". Custom masts consisting of fewer sections would be accordingly smaller. "Quik-Clamps" Click on stock numbers for photos of Quik-Clamps and the associated tube sizes each accepts.
All Masts are shipped with an assembly and use instruction sheet, which also includes guying instructions. Want to see how easy it is to assemble? Click here to view the Assembly and Use Guide and Limited Warranty .
Accessories and mounts The fiberglass masts are a new product line, and we have been asked for bases and guy rings / guy systems for this line. While we do not yet offer these accessories, they are "in the works" by several other companies. When development is completed we plan to offer these accessories on this page. In the meanwhile, you should be able to purchase these items from one of the companies working on this project, Penninger Radio. Penninger Radio should be able to supply most anything you might require. They do beautiful, quality work. Visit their website at: http://www.penningerradio.com Be sure to mention the Max-Gain Systems mast type you are getting so that they suggest appropriate accessories. If you prefer to make your own, many customers have fabricated nicely made bases themselves. The best we have seen is by Ray Jurgens, KQ6RH, a retired NASA scientist and antenna designer, and proprietor of the "Antenna Magic" page.
