Bristol Wrench makes the smallest hex wrench sizes available, including the tiny .028" .035" and .050" sizes! Bristol makes both the more common style hex L-keys, AND the famous Bristol hex screwdrivers, preferred by professional service technicians .

The Bristol hex screwdrivers have replaceable bits, retained by a setscrew in the recess of a precision-machined bushing which is broached to the unique size and shape of the bit for positive, non-slip engagement. The plastic handle is manufactured with material and method which provide superior performance and durability. The handle is specifically designed with a size and shape proportional to the size and shape of the bit and fastener, allowing the technician to have the necessary "feel" to properly apply required torque and to conveniently work on a wide range of tasks.

This combination of features is unmatched in the tool industry . These are not "one size fits all" drivers but instead, are designed to provide exceptional performance in all hex fastening applications. Standard and optional "extra length" replacement bits are also available. NOTE: Each screwdriver handle is supplied complete with one standard length bit of appropriate size at no additional charge!

The Hex Drive
Adequate for many applications, this more common design is not as positive or effective a method of transmitting torque as the spline configuration.

To increase performance and durability, Bristol Wrench manufactures hex wrenches in sizes .028" through 3/8" diameter from precisely shaped 8650 steel.

Applications

  • Adequate for many applications where some loss of tightening force into radial thrust can be tolerated.
  • Not recommended when severe tightening of small parts is requited.
  • Not recommended when frequent removal and resetting is required.
  • Not recommended for use with softer components.

 

We offer nine (9) sizes of Bristol hex screwdrivers, from the tiny D-028 (.028" to the hefty D-964 (9/64". Each is sold with one standard length bit included . Sizes available as screwdrivers are:
